Our vision of the world tends to be colored by our fragmentation and division. We even break down knowledge in specialized areas of competence. But when we look at humanity and the planet as an interconnected system, we recognize that we all hold answers and solutions.
Regenerosity believes in amplifying whole system solutions that already exist at the local level, where smallholder farmer communities have traditional ecological knowledge and are empowered to lead their eco-social development initiatives.Â
Shifting from the old paradigm of transfer of knowledge (North to South, urban to rural, white to BIPOC), we have developed a participatory methodology for regenerative development. We practice it through peer to peer circles at every level - funding, co-designing, monitoring, storytelling, and learning. This participatory model builds on the intelligence of the system and is critical to accelerating and achieving regenerative change.Â
In the first part of this session, our panelists will share our peer to peer learning model that creates space for the bottom-up emergence of knowledge, trust, and commitment.Â
In the second part, we will invite guests to participate in a peer learning circle of their choice so we experience and create value out of our time together. Topics for the peer-to-peer learning circles will include trust-based philanthropy, effective storytelling, climate resilience, and inner work.
This session is for anyone interested in creating paradigm shifts, catalyzing change, or advancing social and climate justice. It is for philanthropists, social innovators, entrepreneurs, conveners, organizers, and doers.

Komal is a Permaculture Designer at Earth4Ever. After 20 years as a Creative Director in the Television Industry, she discovered Permaculture and has since set up the Vad Permaculture Farm in Palghar, Maharashtra where she engages with organizations that work with farmers at the grassroots level. She is also setting up Micro Permaculture Food Forests at 9 sites across Palghar & Aarey, Maharashtra.
Noah is YICE’s Co-Founder and Program Director. He has over 10 years of experience in managing both technical and administrative elements of high impact projects across Uganda, Kenya, and Cote d’Ivoire, with the most recent one directly working with refugees in Nakivale and Kiryandongo settlements to produce food and income for the community.
Renata leads the Philanthropy arm of Be The Earth Foundation. Previously, she worked for 11 years as a social entrepreneur in Brazil, where she engaged and empowered diverse communities while transforming collective spaces with participatory methods. She also trained other changemakers to use participatory tools to lead the change in their own environments.

Juliet is the coordinator of the Re-Alliance network and a research associate at the Institute of Development Studies. She is an expert in curriculum design and the development of learning materials for capacity building. She has 10 years of experience as academic director of a community university partnership programme at The University of Brighton and a background in adult learning for development in many parts of Africa and the Middle East.
James is Regenerosity’s Learning Lead, the coordinator of the Lush Spring Prize and Re:Fund, and the Operations Manager at the Re-Alliance Network. As a Permaculture practitioner, he has worked across the world co-designing and supporting Permaculture and Agroecology spaces. James has a background in film and the arts, graphic design, project and grant management, and multi-million-pound business management. Â
Ruth is Regenerosity’s Strategic Lead and a member of the Lush team, where she develops giving and regenerative impact strategies and catalyzes partnerships to widen the impact of Lush’s pioneering initiatives. She has more than 10 years of experience in environmental project management and development in the business sector, including collaborative governance and methodologies, as well as 20 years in Education.
Faith is Regenerosity’s 360 Program Lead and a member of the Buckminster Fuller Institute team, where she leads day to day operations and partnerships that focus on real-world solutions to planetary scale problems. She has more than 15 years of experience connecting experts with community leaders through sense-making practices and convenings at the Nature Conservation Council, Global Footprint Network, GreenFestival, and several for-profit organizations.
Regenerosity is a project of the Buckminster Fuller Institute in partnership with LUSH Spring Prize and UNDP Equator Prize which is an action-focused collaboration between grassroots organizations, funders and partners that works to develop human capacity to be in the right relationship with the Earth. Our team brings over 15 years of experience in regenerative philanthropy, and is proud to have connected with more than 500 organizations doing integral work across the globe. We have secured additional catalytic funding for 11 projects in the Amazon, East Africa, and India, that we connect in regional cohorts to accelerate learning and the deployment of solutions.

Earth4ever is a young social organization that works with communities of indigenous farmers living in fragile eco-sensitive zones of Maharashtra, India. We run a Permaculture Demonstration Centre in collaboration with a local farmer, where farmers (especially women) are enabled with the knowledge of regenerative farming practices including soil rejuvenation and water management. Our approach is participatory and we co-design biodiverse Food Forests and Kitchen Gardens along with the community. We aim to create resilience in the areas of food and health security and income generation, leading to mitigation of the effects of climate change, and regeneration of the local ecology.

YICE is a social organization in Uganda that implements practical regenerative farming activities targeting last mile smallholder female and young refugee farmers in rural Uganda. The goal of our intervention is three fold; to promote food security, to regenerate biodiversity and achieve climate change adaptation, and improve incomes for smallholder farmers. We implement community-led activities; such as: Practical farmer training in permaculture and regenerative farming, training in water harvesting, production of mobile low cost drip irrigation kit, production of organic fertilizers and mobilizing beneficiaries into savings groups.
Be The Earth is a UK based foundation that combines Philanthropy and Impact Investments for a world that nurtures all beings. Challenging traditional (philanthropic and investments) models, BTE focuses on building relationships with people and organizations that enables collaboration and partnerships with those who share the vision of regenerative economic systems that prioritise life on earth for all beings. Like a fungal network, attained to the paradigms of reciprocity and interconnection, Be The Earth seeks to offer and widen access to diverse types of capital that can ignite the flourishing of the broader ecosystem to which it belongs.
